A recent study shows growing sales at restaurants which emphasize low calorie items on the menu. A growing number of Americans are becoming aware of the problems with obesity and choosing lower calorie items on restaurant menus. Progress in offering a wide selection of low calorie items on menus and smaller serving sizes, and encouraging healthy eating habits is slow. The limited choices and habits of eating out frequently are continuing to put more people at risk of obesity.

Studies of women eating at restaurants show the lack of healthy choices and frequency of visits to restaurants can have a large effect on obesity. Women eating 5 or more times a week at restaurants risk taking in about 290 extra calories a day than women eating out less often, according to one study. Obesity is one of the biggest challenges facing the U.S. The hidden costs of obesity through the wider spread of diabetes and other diseases are a large part of America's healthcare cost problem. The slow progress in tackling this continues.

We took a different way to help millions around the world build educated informed mindsets that affects and shapes their lives. For a future that is open, global and digital, with everyone having access to high quality information. We believe in the renewal of America, renewal of Europe, the renewal of India, the rest of Asia, Latin America and Africa. The renewal of our supply chains, health, education, infrastructure, as we rebuild our countries after the pandemic. Literacy and knowledge we believe cannot thrive and grow in a world of web bots, web crawlers, or AI. This requires human curiosity, human learning, and human imagination. We take as inspiration the saying- “One has to be free, and as broad as sky. One has to have a mind that is crystal clear, only then can truth shine in it.” Every contribution whether big or small is precious- in this crisis and ahead.
