11/14/2015

The current president Ma from the Koumintang party has seen his support drop in opinion polls to 20%. He pursued close economic ties with China, and met recently with Chinese president Xi Jinping in Singapore. Andrew Browne of the WSJ says the Taiwanese are opposed to reunification with China, and do not see integration in the manner of Hong Kong Kong's integration with China as an option. 11/13/2015
