In his original position in a campaign document for Bush, Ted Cruz expressed concern for immigrants who were trying to feed their families and participate in the American dream, while coming up with proposals to limit immigration. In Dec. 2015 Ted Cruz said in campaign speeches these immigrants were not illegal aliens but "undocumented Democrats," and called for tougher measures.

Sharp words for Turkey, references to his daughters at Russian universities working in 3 languages, and saying Russia's bombing campaign in Syria comes from the Defense Ministry training budget, part of the year end conference answering questions from journalists. Putin says the Russian economy's downturn is bottoming out. He continues to enjoy high popularity in Russia for defending Russian interests more than for management of the economy. Russians may see the oil price declines as beyond Putin's control, and see the effect of NATO at Russia's borders in the same way as Putin does. Putin points to the increase of life expectancy in Russia to 71 as one of the achievements of this period.

DreamWorks Animation Sale Leaves Jeffrey Katzenberg at a Crossroads
New York Times 04/28/2016
Katzenberg says making 2 or 3 successful feature films is his No. 1 priority after several years of distraction. Insiders say Katzenberg was spread too thin, and engaged in empirebuilding with a effort to get into several related businesses, and was unable to bring his unique knack for feature films to bear on the work at DreamWorks Animation. This was evident following the failure of Rise of the Guardians in 2012, and the losses from Penguins of Madagascar film which failed to cover costs at the box office. Most of the time Katzenberg would be out in China or other places in an effort to expand quickly, which now appears to have yielded poor results.

We took a different way to help millions around the world build educated informed mindsets that affects and shapes their lives. For a future that is open, global and digital, with everyone having access to high quality information. We believe in the renewal of America, renewal of Europe, the renewal of India, the rest of Asia, Latin America and Africa. The renewal of our supply chains, health, education, infrastructure, as we rebuild our countries after the pandemic. Literacy and knowledge we believe cannot thrive and grow in a world of web bots, web crawlers, or AI. This requires human curiosity, human learning, and human imagination. We take as inspiration the saying- “One has to be free, and as broad as sky. One has to have a mind that is crystal clear, only then can truth shine in it.” Every contribution whether big or small is precious- in this crisis and ahead.
