People must “find the strength to ensure that right triumphs over wrong”, we should all “remember the past and learn from its lessons”. Charles is speaking from Westminster Abbey, historic center of the British people and place of pilgrimage.  He says of the values treasured by all great faiths, “resilience in the face of adversity; peace through forgiveness; simply getting to know our neighbours and, by showing respect to one another, creating new friendships”. These then are the things that are important through all time. “Pilgrimage is a word less used today, but it has particular significance for our modern world, and especially at Christmas. It is about journeying forward, into the future, while also journeying back to remember the past and learn from its lessons.” “In times of uncertainty, these ways of living are treasured by all the great faiths and provide us with deep wells of hope: of resilience in the face of adversity; peace through forgiveness; simply getting to know our neighbours and, by showing respect to one another, creating new friendships.” “As our world seems to spin ever faster, our journeying may pause, to quieten our minds — in TS Eliot’s words, ‘At the still point of the turning world’ — and allow our souls to renew.” ...

Scientific and technological change was the basis of advanced economies since the 19th century, today's so called "Tech" has misappropriated the name for things like social media in the last 2 decades of American decline which have nothing to do with scientific advancement, and are piggybacking on existing technologies for products that actually harm education, mental health and building healthy societies.

Something profound is taking place in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Colonial attitudes of the British for centuries are making way for a new generationof Protestants and Catholics who are taking interest in the Irish language and the feeling of being both Irish and British, seeing all that was Irish from the early period of Christianity many centuries ago. Irish cosigns with English and classes/schools in Irish in Belfast ,Northern Ireland, as Unionist areas take up Irish along with the British identity. Reflecting with gratitude for things that have gone right on Thanksgiving Day in the US in 2025. Peggy Noonan asks us to follow Charles Dickens advice- Charles Dickens in “Sketches by Boz”: “Reflect upon your present blessings—of which every man has many—not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.” Thinking of old friends, of science that heals things, of the world outside and the joy of work. Knowing readers across different towns and cities around the world, and being able through Lyrarc.com "to provide a product that helps millions build educated mindsets that affects and shapes their lives that gives me inspiration for the effort." And the joys of Nature for me that include hiking in the French Alps near Grenoble and in the Austrian Alps near Innsbruck, and visiting simple churches in the mountains and in Munich, watching children in exercise in the gardens of Innsbruck. Mcmillon did not hestitate to show slides at NYSE for Earnings per share drop of 12% instead of 6%, $2.7 billion investment. Pay is now about $18 an hour in 2025 and this is only one metric as the benefits include free college and technical education, parental leave, more job training, job promotions, cleaner better stores. The remarkable thing is that it spread to other stores Target and TJ Maxx, and over time to a broad swath of American companies. Cost of living is an issue today for Americans in 2025, imagine what things would be like if leaders from the University of Arkansas with deep connections to the Bentonville region had not taken a decision independent of ideas on Wall Street and NYSE, CNBC. As McMillon retires the new CEO is also from the University of Arkansas with deep connections to the Bentonville area- John Furner, the current CEO of America region. ...
