Under CEO Winterkorn, who was brought in by Ferdinand Piech when he headed Audi, VW sales have nearly doubled and profit margins improved. In 2015 the Porsche family, labor and the state of Saxony support Winterkorn continuing through 2016. Piech is looking at making changes.
