Dun & Bradstreet, McDonald's, Yum Brands, Carrefour, Apple and VW, are some of the foreign companies that come up for review in the consumer rights broadcasts of CCTV. There is a new spirit behind the work of CCTV reporters now that poor service and consumer issues relating to quality of products and contamination in food have been made priorities under the new Jinping-Keqiang administration. China's new leadership is turning its attention to these issues negected in the period of fast growth. Zoellick comments on the limits of power today making it easier to get than to use constructively. The spread of the internet, mass and instant communication, brings easier access to influence and power. The rapidly growing aspirations and changing ideas of people make this power elusive and limits it to the power to persuade, and even this with much effort and perseverance. Zoellick says some of this was true even in the last century as Lincoln strove to get his ideas across and needed great fortitude.

Hollande says we cannot stand by and let a people be massacred. Hollande and Cameron prepare to take up this issue at an EU meeting in March 2013 to lift a EU arms embargo for Syria. This follows the earlier effort by Cameron and Sarkozy to provide arms to opposition forces in Libya leading to the fall of the Gaddafi regime.

We took a different way to help millions around the world build educated informed mindsets that affects and shapes their lives. For a future that is open, global and digital, with everyone having access to high quality information. We believe in the renewal of America, renewal of Europe, the renewal of India, the rest of Asia, Latin America and Africa. The renewal of our supply chains, health, education, infrastructure, as we rebuild our countries after the pandemic. Literacy and knowledge we believe cannot thrive and grow in a world of web bots, web crawlers, or AI. This requires human curiosity, human learning, and human imagination. We take as inspiration the saying- “One has to be free, and as broad as sky. One has to have a mind that is crystal clear, only then can truth shine in it.” Every contribution whether big or small is precious- in this crisis and ahead.
