Complex oil projects in remote regions that is adding to upward pressure on oil prices in 2014. Eni, Exxon, Shell, Total SA are part of the consortium of western oil companies in this project. With the sanctions in Russia, a ban in France, a moratorium in Germany, and poor results in Eastern Europe, combined with low oil prices, most of the shale exploration efforts of western oil companies are being suspended in 2015. Canada, the U.S. China, and Argentina are so far the only four places with positive results for shale exploration.
