New discoveries by Hamm's Continental Resources, could change the way the U.S. thinks about oil and natural gas. After years of OPEC dependence, the U.S. could become energy sufficient by 2020. His company pioneered the search for oil and natural gas in the Bakken fields in the Great Plains. The U.S. Geological Survey says Bakken has 4-5 billion barrels of oil.
