“Without Google’s abuse of its dominant position, the media companies would have received significantly higher revenues from advertising and paid lower fees for ad tech services. Crucially, these funds could have been reinvested into strengthening the European media landscape."

The incoming DJT administration is bringing back a focus on tariffs- a tariff as high as 60 percent is unlikely as American companies are likely to oppose this. A smaller tariff increase of 20-30% would bring the share of US imports from China back to less than 10% that existed in 2019.
