Chinese consumers are willing to spend more on diapers for their children and are moving upscale, just as P&G Pampers targeted the lower end with cheaper diapers. Japanese brands are popular with Chinese mothers who are willing to spend more for better quality diapers. Some have never considered P&G Pampers brand diapers.
