Greece's "Yes" or "No" vote on the euro and on two documents outlining EU proposals on July 5, 2015

Tsipras of the Syriza party holds a rally in central Athens calling for a "No" vote not on the euro but on the bailout documents outlining EU proposals for a cut in pensions and increase in value added taxes. EU leaders say a "No" would not lead to further negotiations or that negotiations would offer different conditions, but simply mean an exit from the eurozone. The New Democracy Party of former premier Antonis Samaras representing the centre right and the centre left parties are planning a separate rally in central Athens under the banner "We're Staying in Europe."
