Opinion | General Milley and the ‘Wannabe Dictator’
Gen. Milley is not alone in saying this- that the Joint Chiefs chairman takes an oath to the Constitution of America, which he calls "the idea of America," a Constitution that starts with the words "We the People." Enshrined in these words in the Preamble to the US Constitution is the idea of the "inalienable rights" of man to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Vice president Mike Pence affirmed that the oath was to the Constitution of the US before Milley, and Attorney General William Barr affirmed this before Mr. Pence. Three of the senior most positions in the US government during the presidency of Mr. Trump. It showed a parting of ways of three of the most senior persons in his administration with Mr. Trump.

Three of the most senior members of the Trump administration part ways with Mr. Trump. Their loyalty they say is to the Constitution of the United States of America not to any individual. Milley says not to kings or queens, not to tribes or factions, not to tyrants or "wannabe dictators," but to the idea of America enshrined in the words of the framers of the Constitution "We the People..."

All three of the senior most members of Trump's administration make a parting of ways with Mr. Trump when it comes to the Constitution of the United States of America, free and fair elections, the separation of powers between Congress the Executive branch and the Judiciary, and the smooth transfer of power every four years to a newly elected government, with all 435 members of Congress elected every 2 years, checks and balances put in place by the framers of the US Constitution including Jefferson and Madison to protect Democratic form of government enshrined in the words "We the People.."
