Riza Sarraf and the corruption scandal in Turkey involving ministers in the AKP government of prime minister Erdogan

Sarraf is a 30 year old emigre from Dubai living in Turkey who received commission of 1.7% for transfers of gold in physical shipments to Iran as payment for oil exports to Turkey. This was legal till June 2013 when this remaining loophole to sanctions that removed Iran from the international bank payment system SWIFT was closed. Sarraf had dealings with the sons of ministers in the government according to Turkish police transcripts on Bloomberg News.
