Fred Hiatt, editorial page editor of the Washington Post makes some serious points about the Obama presidency, its hesitation at each point to take decisions that previous presidents from the Democratic Party have taken, Bill Clinton for Ireland, the Balkans, and before him Harry Truman for Berlin, Greece, Korea. The result in Syria is a humanitarian catastrophe with millions of refugees in Turkey and Jordan, and in Germany and Austria.
