At least one symptom of burnout is seen in 1 of 2 doctors, according to a 2012 study published in the journal Archives of Internal Medicine. More than 40% work 60 hours or more. Work-life balance dissatisfaction is high in the medical profession. Stanford has launched an effort to tackle the problem.
