Peugeot's history in Iran is that it was the largest market outside France at one time before sanctions. After Peugeot pulled out France and Peugeot have a difficult time in the country, because of Iranian resentment at the stronger sanctions position taken by France in the talks. Peugeot says it is learning from this experience by not pulling out of Russia completely.
