Oracle's account of the meeting of Mark Hurd and the M&A head at Oracle with Mike Lynch of Autonomy and his banker Frank Quattrone. After the meeting in which slides were presented to shop Autonomy to Oracle, Oracle stated that Autonomy's then market value of $6 billion was "extremely overpriced." In the end H-P ignored these warning signals and paid over $10 billion for Autonomy. Mike Lynch denied he had shopped the company to Oracle.
