Information on fuel economy mpg for cars added to the American fleet tracks progress on fuel economy and meeting the U.S. goals of reducing reliance on imported oil. The estimate of emissions per driver show progress on reducing automobile emissions in the U.S., a key factor in overall emissions. This also indirectly shows the progress attainable in emerging market countries because the same manufacturers operate there and are able to bring new models with higher efficiency into these markets to reduce overall consumption and emissions. This is especially true for China and India where fuel needs and emissions for large demographics are becoming a major concern.

Growing imports of oil and natural gas in India in 2012-2013. Disappointing production of oil and natural gas from the Reliance offshore exploration in the Krishna-Godavari Basin. The need for increased exploration and a change in government policy. This comes at a time when India faces severe shortages of energy supplies including coal for electricity and power development.

Boskin says trade models suggest that with normal trade under a free trade agreement India and Pakistan's trade would grow from $2.7 billion today to $50 billion, and be 20 times larger. India-Pakistan trade is smaller today than trade between India and Sri Lanka. Boskin was head of the elder U.S. president Bush's Council of Economic Advisors and instrumental in setting up the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

The task of building an organization behind competent and good government, and having programs to help the farmers in rural areas, the extremely poor, and farmers in debt, all work to build credibility and votes in India. This position has been taken by the Congress leaders prime minister Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi. Years of patient effort at the grassroots and for development if continued could payoff for the current leaders and for India.

It is storing up problems for the future as groundwater supplies are being depleted by wasteful use. The underfunded and corrupt state irrigation departments and their lack of maintenance of existing irrigation systems leads to loss of water to siltation. And dam building is not keeping up with the need to store water and vchannel it to plaes where its needed.

We took a different way to help millions around the world build educated informed mindsets that affects and shapes their lives. For a future that is open, global and digital, with everyone having access to high quality information. We believe in the renewal of America, renewal of Europe, the renewal of India, the rest of Asia, Latin America and Africa. The renewal of our supply chains, health, education, infrastructure, as we rebuild our countries after the pandemic. Literacy and knowledge we believe cannot thrive and grow in a world of web bots, web crawlers, or AI. This requires human curiosity, human learning, and human imagination. We take as inspiration the saying- “One has to be free, and as broad as sky. One has to have a mind that is crystal clear, only then can truth shine in it.” Every contribution whether big or small is precious- in this crisis and ahead.
