Sir Howard Davies was deputy governor of the Bank of England, 1995-1997. He was director of the LSE when he expanded LSE ties to Libya's one party regime. He resigned from this position. Other Libyan connections include the Monitor consulting group in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Pearson PLC.
