Hispanics settlement patterns in the U.S. with more Hispanics moving to the midwestern states 2010-2015

The midwestern states of Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, see large increases in Hispanic population. Hispanics now represent 5% of the population in Iowa. The migration inland from California and other states bordering Mexico is helping revive the economies of smaller cities and towns in the heartland of the U.S. This is in line with the historical role immigration has played in the U.S.
