CBS/New York Times Poll of Feb. 2011 showing little public support for cutting Medicare and Social Security

Only 18% of Americans polled showed support for significant cuts to these programs. For Social Security Americans preferred instead increasing the age for Social Security to 69 by 2075, and reducing benefits to wealthier Americans, as ways to put the program on a sound financial basis.
