The 4 year U.S. Environmental Protection Agency study concludes that there is no widespread or systemic damage to drinking water in the U.S. The Environmental Defense Fund points to the problems with older wells and wastewater which need to be tackled, and raises concerns that the EPA report will lead to the industry relaxing its safety efforts.
