Norwegian gas pipeline company and the 90% cut in tariffs for Statoil

Investors including the Canada Pension Board protest a move by Gassled, which runs the pipelines that bring about 10% of Europe's gas needs to points in Europe, to reduce the rates it charges by 90%. Gassled says the the intent of the move designed to help Norway's state owned oil company Statoil, which has a 6% stake in Gassled, is to encourage more oil and gas exploration. Institutional investors see this cutting by half the long term return on their investment and plan legal action.
