Ukraine plans to make a payment of $3.1 billion in 2 instalments to Russia as part of the settlement for gas supplies till March 2015. About 60% of Ukraine gas supplies come from Russia and 15% of EU supplies transit through Ukraine. Ukraine negotiated a price close to what the EU pays Russia.
