Acquisitions in the U.S. by German companies in 2014

Attracted by the favorable growth environment German companies are making a large number of medium size acquisitions in the U.S. Friedrichshafen is acquiring TRW, Siemens buying Dresser Rand. In all about $65 billion spent on acquisitions of American firms in 2014 by German companies, making up about 60% of all German foreign acquisitions. Most of the acquired firms have a global presence.
