In an intervew with Martin Fackler of the NYT, Japan's Foreign Minister Kishida makes a clear statement about the policy of the Abe administration to continue postwar apologies for colonial policy that caused suffering in other parts of Asia. He repeatedly calls for Japanese to be humble about the past.
