As trees grow they absorb the gas emissions that cause climate change. Estimates from experts show 1.2 trillion trees could absorb as much as 25% of carbon in the atmosphere.

Young Republicans are shifting away from the party on the issue of climate change and Republican leaders are making modest proposals as a way to show they are also concerned about protecting the environment. Some say Mr. Trump's views on this issue are shifting even though he has his own views on how quickly to move away from fossil fuels.
