Islamists say they are misunderstood. They only want freedom to go the mosque and individual freedoms. One Islamist leaders says westerners do not understand them and think they want to lock up their women in boxes. Islamist and Muslim Brotherhood rebels did a lot of the hard fighting against the Gaddafi regime and Belhaj is one of the leaders running the capital Tripoli.
