Hansi Flick joined Bayern Munich as an interim manager in November 2019. In less than one year he has transformed the German team. Routing Barcelona 8-2 in the semifinals of the Champions League. Taking the team to wins in the Bundesliga and the Champions League. In the manner of Zidane he has a strong bond with the players and trusts each player to develop his own individual style of play, avoided depending on stars who cost a fortune saving the club much money, and giving opportunity to a new generation of talent. He trusted Kimmich, Alfonso Davies, and put Kingsley Coman in for the finals with PSG after his great performance in the Barcelona game. No star antics or displays as veterans Neuer and Muller worked gracefully alongside the younger player for their individual roles fitting into the larger scheme of play. Some of the acclaim puts Flick now ahead of Pep Guardiola and in league with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, Zidane at Real Madrid. Flick and Zidane have something in common. ...

Qatar's sovereign wealth fund supports PSG Paris and Qatar Airways supports Bayern Munich. Barcelona is one of the richest clubs along with PSG but says this report it has wasted a lot of money about $950 million getting players that it later deemed not needed, 30 players for that amount since 2014.This includes Coutinho who scored 2 of the 8 goals of Bayern in the 8-2 Bayern win over Barcelona. Bayern also played with Thiago Alcantara a player released by Barcelona. All the time Barcelona was looking at players to support Messi and making bad decisions. It released Neymar to PSG for $260 million even though it had second thoughts about the merits of that decision, just because of the money. For what you get for the money Bayern got key players for under $120 million to beat Lyon. Manchester city spent $600 million by contrast to put together its team. For Bayern its home grown talent comes from Thomas Muller and Alaba. Lewandowski and Goretzka were signed up. The best talent comes from youngsters Serge Gnabry of France and Alphonso Davies of Canada, for a combined $21 million. PSG also has broken the bank in signings but it has cooled down since and is calmer now. It signed Mbappe for $160 million, a critical piece of the plan for PSG. Analysis of its findings in the WSJ story on August 18 shows the FDA unnecessarily delayed private labs from developing and using their own tests from Feb 9 when FDA test for coronavirus failed for its third component. The FDA said it would correct the flaws but repeatedly failed to do so until it finally allowed private labs to go ahead on their own- a costly delay of 3 weeks that made the test and contact trace strategy inoperable, because the time window was lost in those 3 critical weeks. In March through August the pandemic has now taken up about 5 million cases in the U.S. and 170,000 deaths, with no end in sight. During times like these and in a swiftly moving current of a river such as the time of a pandemic, the  teaching hospital labs and labs with resources and scientific reputation with their lightning speed have to have the freedom  to immediately respond. In this case the FDA should have released the private labs of teaching hospitals and the the highly reputable labs of well known medical companies to immediately start developing their own tests and using them, starting  on Feb. 10 the day after it was evident that the FDA test's third component was not working. ...
