Hope stems from the goals set for carbon neutral economy of Japan, the EU, UK, China, and the U.S. as it enters the agreement after withdrawing.  Much will depend on action taken as the pandemic has pushed economic goals of recovery to the forefront. As India has shown in renewable energy, particularly in solar energy targets and bold vision, there is a lot that can be done by each country acting on its own without the hype of the agreement. India now sees huge opportunities in solar energy because it is cheaper and pollutes less than coal. After Macron and Merkel flatly reject Britain's appeal for direct talks, Mr. Boris Johnson says it is now looking "very, very likely" that Britain will leave the European Union without an agreement. Johnson said this was a potentially "wonderful" outcome. Both sides want to be seen as not responsible for the failure of the talks. The stumbling bloc is the adherence to EU rules which Britain rejects as infringing on its sovereignty, and EU's fears of Britain relaxing its environmental and other rules to gain unfair competitive advantage in business.

The Oxford vaccine is to be combined with a dose of Russia's Sputnik vaccine in a study to determine if this will provide improved results. The idea is to test whether two doses combined of Oxford and Sputnik vaccine can provide better protection than two doses of the same vaccine. Trials will begin by the end of 2020. This is being done under the concept of heterologous prime boost which has been adopted in  vaccination programmes against other diseases.

,Both the Russian and the Oxford vaccine use a modified version of adenovirus, a common cold virus. This is stripped of disease causing genes and given genetic instructions that make the coronavirus cause a spike in the protein when it passes it to the human cells. This then triggers an immune response.

France and Britain are at loggerheads over fishing rights in UK waters. UK will now have 4 Navy patrol ships protect its fishing waters in the event of a no deal Brexit. French and other EU fishermen get 60% of the fish taken from UK waters. UK exclusive economic zone extends 200 miles from the shore. Conservative ministers have doubled the total fleet of patrol ships from four to eight. During patrol in extreme cases a EU boat can be impounded and taken to the nearest EU port, otherwise it could be boarded and inspected.

With a combination of cumulatively increasing inputs of technology, capital, land and educated labor force this is now at the potential of becoming a very doable world changing event by 2035- a $20 trillion economy by doubling every 5 years based on renewable energy and dedicated to health, education and development. What makes this a world changing event is the opportunity to meet the aspirations of about 2 billion people in India, Bangladesh, Indonesia and surrounding nations, offering new hope for Africa and Latin America. For this the U.S. commitment cannot have any traces of ambivalence, and the Indian commitment cannot have any traces of ambivalence.
