The focus by Bernie Sanders in the US and Jeremy Corbyn in the UK on remote spots in the world and on billionaires distracts from the real issues of cost of living, of incomes of ordinary families, of everyday issues of health and quality of life faced by all. It also does not help in the discussion because of the need to move away from the poor leadership of the Blair-Brown, Cameron- Johnson years and the Bush-Obama years in the UK and the US. Here no ideologies are needed just common sense solutions to common problems that affect lives of all the people, with the cooperation of all the people. ...

Venezuela has the highest inflation in Latin America leading to a continual flow of people overseas.  Inflation is at 270% in Venezuela and only Zimbabwe is worse. The country is an example of how the very socialist ideas to reduce poverty and increase social mobility can get mismanaged, lead to cronyism, corruption and increase inflation and poverty. About 7 million of 28 million people in Venezuela have left the country, or about 25% of the country's people a situation that is rare in the 20th and 21st century. A mixture of nationalism and socialist ideas led by the military -after failure of political parties to provide good governance-  have ruined Venezuela. US does not seek to intervene in other countries. It also has some version of the Monroe Doctrine by president Monroe 1823 not to let foreign or European powers  recolonize or intervene in the western hemisphere, renewed by Teddy Roosevelt 1903 and even in 1962 under Kennedy in the Cuban crisis with Russia's Khrushchev. Recent elections in Venezuela were not honored by the government in power. The question is how to not intervene and get embroiled in other nation's politics and confusion and yet preserve Latin America's independence from colonization of any sort or drug trafficking gangs. ...

Harris points out that poor and poverty are words not mentioned often by Obama. Related to this is the foreclosure crisis in which ordinary black people were hardest hit with no effective help from the president to homeowners badly needing relief. Sheila Bair of the FDIC and Martin Feldstein advocated aggressive help for homeowners under water which did not come from the president. Showing not just the limits of a black presidency, but false hopes, inexperience and lack of leadership in issues that mattered to all Americans in the housing and foreclosure crisis. Farmers say it has not provided this. Punjab government seeks funding from the central government in Delhi for meeting the cost. Till then marginal farmers continue their old ways creating a thick haze over New Delhi. Solutions proposed are having more biomass plants to generate energy and use the paddy straw, a Happy Seeder variety that takes works with the straw, and shifting to Basmati rice instead of the common rice crop. This is why the International Energy Agency esimates fossil fuel generated energy to remain about the same percentage in 2035 as it is today- 81%. Shale based naural gas can make a difference for air pollution and China is begining to make the shift away from coal- for sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, this goal will take time. ...

If one can one should take stairs but do not board a crowded elevator unless the lobby is more crowded. Do not touch buttons, if you do use elbow or use sanitizer from your shirt pocket after pressing. This is where mask is essential. Here a tip is useful. Talking does not help as talking emits 10 times the particles than when you are quiet and this is true for small spaces such as elevators. It is part of the Perseverance mission rover that has already landed on the planet Mars. The development process took 7 years and testing was done at the JPL Labs. JPL Labs has a vacuum space that can be filled with CO2 similar to atmosphere on MARS. 

Engineers doing the work for the helicopter say flight on MARS is challenging because of the thinner air. This will be a first in planetary flight compared to Wright Brothers first 120 second flight.
