Increasing supplies of natural gas in the U.S. will play out over 3 decades and reshape industry and manufacturing in the U.S. A new study by the University of Texas and funded by the Sloan Foundation of the Barnett shale rock formation shows that large quantities of natural gas are available that can be drilled at a cost of $4 per million BTU.
