One idea needs to be dispelled the idea that a state gains from its disproportionate use of the country's income and resources to develop nuclear weapons as has happened in Iran, Pakistan, and North Korea, where this has resulted in impoverishment of the country. Another that retaining nuclear weapons would have put Ukraine at an advantage, that states are better off keeping nuclear weapons technologies and weapons for the survival of governments. The world is going through a difficult period- it took many centuries of hardship for China, India, (five centuries since 1500) and other countries to modernize and industrialize, and no one wants to see everything put at risk in the coming generations. Europe and America also have a lot at stake with the countries being poor for most of the period before the 1950's and industrialization. All the achievements of science and technology, all of modern life are at risk of disappearing with this one threat. ...

Even without incentives for EV's more manufacturers are putting EV's into the market. This reviewer says the EV Batteries are quite good overall and hold 92% of the charge overall and there are ways to get the condition of the batteries for the leased car that is available. BT Group PLC acquired mobile company EE from Deutsche Telekom of Germany and Orange SA of France for 12.5 billion pounds in cash and stock. EE is the UK's largest mobile company and BT Group the largest fixed line telecom company. With this acquisition BT Group can now bundle fixed line, mobile lines, and television services, to increase subscriber revenue. Deutsche Telekom with a 12% stake is now the largest shareholder in BT Group. Orange will have a 4% stake. The acquisition provides BT Group with a faster 4G network and 30 million EE customers, 24.5 million direct mobile and 834,000 broadband.

Diet and inactivity are the principal culprits. About 37% of world's men and 38% of women are obese. Obesity increased rapidly first in developed countries, becoming noticeable by 1980 and slowing since 2006, and now is growing fast in developing countries. Germany is a surprise No. 8 on the list. The U.S. No. 1 ranking tells a lot about the misguided priorities of living in the U.S., lack of education on healthy eating and healthy living, and not putting healthy habits at the top of things to do above making more money. An extreme case is South Africa where 42% of women are obese. The most obese countries are by rank - U.S., China, India, Russia, Brazil, Mexico, Egypt, Germany, Pakistan, Indonesia. Refugees in Germany are 3.48 million in 2024 at 4 percent of the population, government data shows. This is 60,000 more than in 2023. One third of them are from Ukraine and many of them seek a return to their home country. Clara Bunger a member of the German parliament requested the information from the government.
