The black market or blue dollar rate was reported to be 13 pesos to the dollar. Argentina's currency declined by 18% from Jan 1- Jan 24, 2013. With declining reserves the policy of depreciating in stages is becoming untenable. Argentina's international reserves declined to $29.5 billion by the third week of Jan 2013.
