She says normally the team doing the due diligence reports to the CFO, yet in the case of Autonomy the team reported to the head of strategy, which she changed soon after becoming CEO. Whitman was a member of the Board when it approved the acquisition, and she says someone pointed us in the right direction, referring to the whistleblower who pointed out improprieties.
