Yet the other facts above remain which presents the Russian view that NATO and the EU were too close to its borders given Russia's history of invasion from France in 1812, and from Germany in 1914 and 1940. A settlement can come only by both sides recognizing the overall facts in Europe so that all sides feel secure for peaceful coexistence under different forms of culture, government and economic structures. ...

Few questions asked on the real issue -what went wrong in Ann Selzer's poll showing Harris ahead of DJT in Iowa by 3 percentage points, with error of plus or minus 3.4%. 3 days before the US presidential election. The actual result was DJT winning by 13 percentage points- how did Selzer get it so wrong? Selzer hints at the answer when she says "the reality is that more people supporting DJT turned out." That is what happened. One should know also that the polling methodology Ann Selzer uses does not look at the previous election turnout because it is not science says Selzer to think that the electorate has not changed in 4 years. She defends this by saying Obama won in 2012 yet DJT won in 2016 because the electorate had changed. Polling has to take into account the zeal or lack of zeal for vote turnout- and ways to measure it. It appears that the Republicans were more zealous than Democrats for their candidate on issues such as transgender and anxiety it causes parents, and about the millions of illegal migrants crossing the Border and the illegal flow of fentanyl across the Border, and working class Americans did not see infrastructure spending in their grocery store just prices soaring and lack of affordability of everything. ...

A serious problem for higher education, for universities and colleges in the US is the failure to focus on reducing cost. It costs $120,000 for a 4 year education at Michigan State University.Tution fees for one year have gone from about $10,000 to $20,000 over 12 years 2012- 2024 for state universities. Another priority should be reading comprehension as shown in Lyrarc's Movement for Global Literacy. This opinion piece describes the problems with colleges and universities further aggravating the fragmentation of the electorate into college educated and non college educated, with focus on theories of race and history when it should be focused on cost that makes it unaffordable to the vast majority of Americans. British Journal of Sports Medicine confirms what other studies have shown. 150 minutes of walking - any kind of walking including up the stairs at home and in the home and outdoors, can reduce health risks including aging by 73% compared to only 49 minutes daily.

Other studies have shown the need in a desk bound work culture to move around and not be statinary or sedentary. That alone lowers health risks and bad backs, bad necks. All types of exercize are important, one does not need a marathon or hard exercise, even the incidental movement throughout the day say medical experts is vastly underestimated. Walking to the bus or subway, tram stop, moving about the house frequently, just stop the sedentary situation plays a big part in remaining healthy.

Veerman, a health expert says find something you enjoy and do it, something you like that is your thing. That includes going up and down the stairs at home.

In 2005 Gerhard Schroeder's social and economic reforms affected working class Germans- he called a no confidence vote to get a new mandate. This one Schroeder of SPD lost and it started Angela Merkel of CDU's 16 years in office. ...

A new once daily ICE train takes one from Gare de'l Est in Paris to Berlin Hauptbahnhof in 8 hours leaving at about 10 and in Berlin by 6 pm. It goes through Frankfurt South, Karlsruhe, and Strasbourg. The cost ranges from $26 to $104 one way. It is run by SNCF and Deutsche Bahn. Deutsche Bahn known for delays with only 60% of it's trains on time plans to do better in 2025 with a goal of 75% on time performance. The train brings the two nations closer.
