Many people don't lose weight using semaglutide the drug in Ozempic. About a third lose less than 10% or less and those who lose weight its about 5%-20%. A lot more effective and sure to work as one gets older, safer is to change one's diet to a healthy diet that includes nuts, fruits and vegetables and healthier grains called ancient grains. There is so much potential in that because for two decades people have neglected it and gone inthe wrong direction. Say a simple exercize routine and healthy food intake each contribute 10%, and wellbeing/wellness with nature or meditation/ travel  another 10% you have 30% improvement that will stay forever as new habits get to replace the old. Its called NEFTY Nature, Exercise, Food, Travel, Youthfulness. And its synergistic meaning that one fits into the other more you do in one helps promote the others. Healthier food gets you in the in the right amounts gets you inclined to more exercise, travel adds to the sense of wellbeing, and Nature complements it all. Just taking a walk with bare feet in the grass, seeing the trees and the flowers and the birds in Spring outdoors gets you to feel better and great, nothing that artificial drugs can do. The next thing your blood tests will surely come out better, your next health exam will be better. NEFTY is the process and it is all about process, when the process is good the results for overall health are good one can be sure of that. And this converts into higher productivity and a better feeling at work creating a virtuous cycle. As a people one has neglected it for too long. A crime rate that is down, cleaner environment, efficient transportation, and a $2.4 billon surplus. The new construction helped rebuild the city, and more livable space with 800 acres of outdoor space most along city shorelines, expansion of bike lanes to 600 miles, and promoting environmental improvements, a high tech campus on Roosevelt Island. All this without political skills and media hype, bringing candour and public spirited dedication for the city's improvement, and giving new respect to urban experts who used their talents in the city administration.

About half of UK adults reported experiencing high levels of anxiety says the Office of National Statistics for the the first lockdown. During the second lockdown the fatigue coming from that period in March and the higher level of cases is likely to have increased the number of adults experiencing anxiety. Anxiety was experienced from the loneliness and the effect of the coronavirus on work. A quarter of all adults reported increased sleeplessness. Stockpiling, overworking, irritability, micro-managing, and alcohol consumption, are some of the erratic responses to this level of added anxiety. Experts suggest different responses. leadership and incremental change to put the problem into context. Such as in the case of coronavirus the important behaviours that one can control such as masking properly, social distancing properly, ventilating and cleaning the air with aircleaners, using necessary caution in outside exposure by limiting to the essential, and taking nutrients for defence against virus, other actions. After putting these in place the risks can be minimized.  At that point focusing on the present is seen by experts as the right way to respond. Get through this period or this week first, leave the next week or the next period for next time. To do this  baking, reading, hobbies, running, walking, yoga, gardening, and outdoors, a whole range of other activities including watching sports, listening to radio and music, all fall into this. Spending time doing things that make us happy. A good exercise is asking how does this make me feel, am I more relaxed? am I happier? Put things in perspective, is this catastrophising? Is this making it bigger than it is? Can I put away the illusion of control when control requires some higher power such as God. Can I leave that part to God, to the divine. Cognitive behavioural thinking modification is a way of tackling stress, loneliness, and the depression and anixety that feed on each other. Being aware that we may have wrong behavioural responses, asking questions about how accurate our thinking about things that pose threatening situations is, are helpful in tackling the anxiety.   Just breaking the pattern of behavioural responses of repetitive thinking is helpful by engaging in other activities. Meditation is helpful. Yoga is helpful. In this pandemic learning about nutrition and increasing one's knowledge of food, eating and exercizing right, of cooking, is a useful way of turning a negative into a positive.     ...

Join the author in BBC's travel series Slocomotion as he takes a cycling trip through Adirondack National Park in upstate New York stretching up to the Canadian border. The Empire State Trail in the Adirondacks is the longest trail in the US, a 750 mile bicycle route from southern tip of Manhattan to the Canadian border. It passes through the Hudson Valley, the Catskills, and along Adirondack park's eastern edge.

During the pandemic this is a popular route. The cool thing says one local in Saranac Lake, who guides people on cycling trips, is that people who don't normally venture out in cycling are doing this to get away from the pandemic. The idea of being on a bike and pedaling out in the wilderness to get the beneficial health effects of the outdoors is capturing the imagination of people.

Average 30 year mortgage jumped from 3.1% at the end of 2021 to 5.0% by April 2022. High housing prices in coastal and mountain region cities and remote work flexibility are reordering where people choose to live. Other cities that are getting attention from younger buyers are Santa Cruz, California, Santa Rosa, California. These are smaller towns of less than 600,000 population with outdoor recreation opportunities and small city feel, and are also attractive to retirees.
