Will the demographic dividend be wasted in corrupt systems and inefficient management of the economy and resources? These are questions on so many young people's minds as two of the largest populated countries on the planet face new administrations and new hope for the future.

Major advances in battery technology and cost are needed for electric cars to take off. Gasoline needs to be higher than $4.50 a gallon in the U.S. for electric cars to be economically attractive.
