The Indonesian currency, the Rupiah, has declined by 13% in 2013- by Sept. 3. It reached a level of 11,050 rupiah for one dollar on Sept 3. Economic growth has declined to 6% for the second quarter of 2013. The depreciation of the rupiah is likely to increase inflation significantly and affect the consumer spending boom in Indonesia. Indonesia had a $2.3 billion trade deficit in July 2013 after a continuing surge in imports. This will affect car prices and prices of international brands popular in the country. Toyota set the rate at 9500 rupiah to the dollar and plans to increase prices now that the rate has passed 11,000 rupiah.

Even Wikipedia reference is giving one bits and pieces of information. Only an effort to read and read books expands one's horizons and learning. The irony of getting a bachelor's degree at 22 years and then stopping reading except an occasional book across most of the people in the US, Europe, India and other nations.

Labour leader Keir Starmer tells the 1923 Labor Conference in Liverpool imagine what we could build "if working people feel they belong and can contribute to Britain, if a whole country says we back your potential." He said of the Tories damage during 13 years of government, "their project will crash against the spirit of working people in this country." And he called the Labour party the builders, the healers- "But know this-what is broken can be repaired. What is ruined can be rebuilt. Woulds do heal." And he said "people are looking to us because they want our wounds to heal and we are the healers, people are looking to us because these challenges require a modern state and we are the modernizers, people are looking to us because they want to build a new Britain, and we are the builders."

The ECB's efforts to fight deflation by injecting money into the financial system in 2014, and investor search for higher yields, is driving up the price of Spain's bonds and reducing yields below that of U.S. Treasurys for the first time. The period it took for this to happen- just 2 years!
